Vegetable Garden

Why A Vegetable Garden?
The Habitat For All Garden demonstrates how growing your own food is conservation in action. You decide how the vegetables are grown, harvested and stored. You reduce your reliance on corporate farms, and you reduce the miles some of your food travels to get to your plate.
It may seem like a small act to grow lettuce, peas, and tomatoes, but the ripples from this effort can cause a tidal wave of change.
“I have found, through years of practice, that people garden in order to make something grow; to interact with nature; to share, to find sanctuary, to heal, to honor the earth, to leave a mark.”
-Julie Moir Messervy
