About the event

Backyard gardens can have a huge positive impact on birds, butterflies and pollinators. In this 6-week workshop, (every Wednesday starting April 8 through May 13th) you will learn everything you need to design and install a garden to attract birds and pollinators. We will cover: evaluating your garden site, choosing plants, the basics of garden design to meet habitat needs of birds and pollinators, laying out your design on the ground, and the basics of planting, enhancing soil and maintenance. At the end of the course, class participants can gain valuable experience helping to install a new habitat demonstration garden at Valentine Farm. Cost: $20

*Please note the April 22 class will be held at Valentine Farm in Bethel.
