About The Event

Humans have hunted since the dawn of time as a means to provide nutritious and sustainable foods to feed themselves and their families. Hunting is an instinct and for many, a natural way to enjoy the deep connections to the earth and the resources that nourish us. For those that may not have been introduced to hunting, this instinct may lay deep inside. Whether you choose to hunt or not, we all share the common need to eat and source wholesome foods. 

In this webinar, Ron Fournier from Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, will explore some of the resources available in Maine that can be part of your food network. We'll explore types of wild game and various hunting opportunities, how to source wild game if you are not a hunter, how to prepare various types of game, and how to get involved and enrolled in hunter education or Next Steps…
