Wilderness Survival

Getting lost in the woods can happen to any of us. This indoor and field-based class will give you the skills needed to spend a night or two in the woods should something go wrong on your hike or hunting trip. What could be a disaster can become nothing more than an inconvenience and maybe slightly embarrassing.

IF&W staff will cover survival kit contents, what you need to bring and why. What items you should always have and those that are optional depending on the activity. You will get hands-on experience building shelters and strating a fire, perhaps with wet wood.
