About The Event

On Wednesday, May 14th, at The Gem Theater in Bethel, we'll be screening two short films, each set on the Crooked River, and we'll have a short Q&A with the creators after the films.


Doors open at 5:30 PM, films start at 6:00 PM. Food and drink will be available for purchase from The Gem Theater.

About the films:


Follow The Water: A Source to Sea Adventure, by Maine Mountain Media, follows a group paddle from the headwaters of the Crooked River all the way to Casco Bay at the mouth of the Presumpscot River. Their adventure highlights the interconnectedness of watershed biomes, the people who care for the lands and waters, and how the drinking water for over 200,000 Mainers is protected.
