Albany

Joe is Director of Construction at Sunday River Skiway Corporation and chairman of the Town of Newry Planning Board.

 

William Andrews
Newry

William is a writer, editor, and organizational development consultant. He is a former president of Westbrook College.

 

Jennifer Casey
Upton

Jennifer is a wildlife biologist for the US Fish and Wildlife Service based at Lake Umbagog National Wildlife Refuge.

Bethel

Landon is Atlantic Region Program Director for Outward Bound Wilderness.

 

Ken Hotopp
Bethel

Ken is a consulting conservation biologist, snail and slug expert, interested in climate change solutions. He enjoys adventures in our region’s mountains, lakes and streams with his wife and two girls.

Bethel

Walter is a retired chemical engineer from Exxon. He is a community activist interested in the natural resources and history of the area.

 

Robert Iles
Andover

Bob is a retired dentist and conservationist working to preserve the summit of Whitecap Mountain, the magnificent landmark overlooking the Town of Rumford and the Ellis and Androscoggin River valleys.

Northwest Bethel

John is a consulting forester and land-use consultant.

 

Ginger Lawson
Falmouth & Shelburne

Ginger is a conservationist with a lifelong love of the outdoors. She and her husband Larry love to hike, bike and cross-country ski.

 

Linda Macgregor
Rumford Center

Linda is a freelance writer, author of the book, “Rumford Stories.” Her column, "Valley Voice" appears in the Lewiston Sun Journal weekly. For many years she was associate director of a Boston- based volunteer organization.

Jeff attended Gould Academy, became a resident in 1969; he enjoys cross-county skiing, rock and ice climbing.
 

Lucia Owen
Stoneham

Lucia has recently retired from Gould Academy where she taught English for 31 years... In her free time she rides and shows her horse in dressage competitions.

Bethel

Bonnie has been an English teacher at Gould Academy for 36 years. She is a registered Maine Guide with a summer guiding service, Maine Explorations.
 

Jim Reuter
Bethel

Jim is a principal with the architectural firm, Smith Reuter Lull Architects of Lewiston and Bethel. He enjoys hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing.
 

Robert Stewart
Cumberland

Bob is committed to preserving mountainous areas of the region. He donated The Stewart Family Preserve to Mahoosuc Land Trust.
 

Jan Stowell
Bethel

Jan was the registered nurse coordinator of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice volunteer program.
 

Cheri Thurston
Bethel

Cheri is a co-owner/broker of Remax in the Mountains Real Estate Agency in Bethel. She is interested in promoting controlled growth for the area.
 

Frank Vogt
Bethel

Frank is a fly fisherman. He taught English, drama, cross-country running and track at Gould Academy until retirement in 1982. He is assistant gardener at his wife Janie’s famous rose and clematis garden.

Newry


Steve and his wife Peggy operate the Sunday River Inn. He is a registered Maine Guide and is active in community and regional issues through his involvement as town selectman and commissioner of the Land Use Regulation Commission.

Jim has worked for the land trust since 1995. He worked as a crew leader for the Maine Appalachian Trail Club and served in the Maine Legislature.
Ginger Kelly,
Volunteer Coordinator
Ginger lives on a flower farm in Bethel. She taught third grade at Crescent Park School and was a real estate broker in Bethel and at Community Concepts affordable housing program.
Helen Dolloff,
Administrative Assistant
Helen is a long-time resident of Hanover. She is administrative assistant at “Maine Mouse-Ah, Inc.” and worked for many years as a medical secretary for Dr. Edward Martin in Rumford.
